The new requires there to be a 2mm gap between bumper and body if the bumper is made out of CF. This bumper retains the same shape as the RX528 Mako Bumper, but also has a nested, front TPU liner which satisfies the rule as the leading edge is now made from flexible, rubber like material (albeit, still super rigid). Have owned many of these cordless wine openers, some by major brands. The batteries on all seem to fail after a few years, so decided to get this cheaper version during Prime Days. After 5 months, it's holding up well. The wine foil opener is a little flimsy, but if you grip it tightly, it's fine (though it seems that it could easily break).
