The flashlight still lights up, but the metal part is a bit sticky. When pushed closed, it wants to stay closed, which means its a little bit tougher to get consistent light. As usual, it is not a very bright flashlight but it would help in a pinch.

Negative stars if I could. This is a very dangerous product. It worked well for a while. But then it quit effectively removing the lid instead I got little tiny shavings of metal around the edge. These shavings of metal go into the food and very dangerous. So this was a waste of money and incredibly dangerous. I am throwing it in the trash today.
