Type 304, 18 gauge stainless steel is used in the construction of the grab bar. To create a one piece, solid unit, the grab bar passes through the flanges and is heliarc welded in place. The mounting flanges are made of a steel plate that is 1 8 of an inch thick. The flanges are concealed by snap on 22 gauge covers that are 3 1 4 inches in
