Broadway Limited HO P4 GP30 Diesel UP #850/Shield on Cab DC/DCC SoundThe EMD GP30 is a 4 axle diesel electric locomotive built by General Motors Electro Motive Division between July 1961 and November 1963. A total of 948 units were built for railroads in the United States and Canada. The GP30's were designed to compete with GE's U25B. The U25B offered 2500 horsepower, while the existing EMD GP20 was only rated at 2,000 hp. The EMD's engineering department ended up using a 16 cylinder 567D3 engine that produced 2250 hp

For some reason my son started doing the duck walk at school and while performing this little trick for his classmates he ripped the rubber that wraps over top the toe. Now, instead of being glued up and into place, its basically sagging down. Thankfully that's the only thing that's gone wrong with these and honestly this sort of wear and tear is not typical. What I would say is that if your child is rough on shoes, I would pass on these. They are very nice, very light weight and are great for school. However, due to the design, they might not best good for some kids. In terms of sizing and comfort, my son wears a 5 and these fit him very well. He has wide feet like his dad, and these don't bother him at all. He's says they're very comfortable and does enjoy wearing them.
