SPITFIRE COMPLETE CENTRE ARMREST 1973-76 & 1500 modelThis centre armrest console was introduced for the Spitfire Mk. IV and 1500 models in 1973. The Mk. IV cars used a slightly courser material known in the Trade as 1290 Grain. The later 1500 models from 1976 onwards used a slightly smoother grain known as Stag grain in Black, however the Beige used after 1976 was the same as the previous models. This product was easy to assemble and install and came with all parts. The product itself is very sturdy, looks good with a nice industrial aesthetic BUT - there is ZERO stability side to side (lengthwise) as the plates which attach to the wood are too small. I have them set closer than the picture so it is not an issue of being too far apart. If anyone else had this problem AND FIGURED OUT A FIX FOR IT - please share!!
