This stuff tastes good, but it is nearly impossible to chew. Biltong is not supposed to be this tough. They must be using the cheapest meat they can get their hands on. It is loaded with gristle. You could chew it all day and never get it to break down.

Honestly I purchased this after getting an amazing package at a specialty store in Houston and loved that there was the option of having a multi-pack and subscription on this. I was a bit reluctant bc of pics and reviews seen/read but took my chance and maybe there are just not consistent batches with the company. Not sure - but mine was gross and the one I had the other day was incredible from a store. This was scraps and full of fat and wouldnโ€™t eat it and I can tell you so much fat that there is no way it would be 6g of fat for a bag. Quality control needs to be on. I donโ€™t think Iโ€™ll buy this again. Sending it back.
